ABOUT SEAN

Hello, I am Sean Sewell, Certified Personal Trainer, Sports Nutritionist, FMS 1, StrongFirst Kettlebell, Bodyweight and Barbell, TRX Force, and TRX Rip Trainer Flexible Steel.  I have been working with students and clients for 15 years in a variety of training settings and real-world activities.  I specialize in Functional Training – creating training programs to enhance your day-to-day life and activities. I love helping clients achieve their fitness goals!  I have worked with collegiate athletes, seniors, special needs, couples, corporate groups, and everyone in between. Everyone gets the same respect and attention they deserve!

Prior to becoming a trainer, I worked in the corporate world for 12 years, so I know what it is like to be at a desk all day and feel out of shape.  I can empathize with the workloads, the trouble to find time, as well as the motivation to exercise.  If I can do it, so can you!  Actually, this is my core group of clients - busy professionals who need expert help, accountability, and some "me" time to take care of themselves and then get back to taking care of business (and family!).

I LOVE Colorado and all of its outdoor recreational opportunities.  When not training clients, you can find me on top of a mountain with my wife and dog, Splitboarding backcountry slopes with friends and clients or Tenkara Fishing at a nice stream.

TECHNICAL TRAINING

I graduated with honors from the National Personal Training Institute and achieved certification with the National Strength and Conditioning Association in 2009.  These are the gold standards for education and certification.

Then I found the TRX and fell in love.  I could safely train anyone of any level – anywhere!  In the gym, at their home or outside.  So I went about getting certified with TRX and now have the highest level certification they offer – Force Military Certification.  That's right, the same training they give to all branches of the military!  We can apply this to beginners as well as the most advanced athletes.  Further education with TRX includes: TRX Yoga certified - strength is balanced with mobility and flexibility!  TRX Functional Trainer and TRX Rip Trainer certified.

Did I mention Kettlebells?  I love training with Kettlebells!  I have been working with StrongFirst for the last 9 years, learning from the very best in the world in this field.  Most recently, I was fortunate enough to be part of the Mountain Strong and Strong Endurance courses.  These translate very well to training clients here in the Rocky Mountains.  I am in the process of becoming certified SFG - a very high honor, and SFB (bodyweight training at it's best!) Pretty cool, right?!  So, get your butts ready to enjoy some awesome strength and cardio with kettlebell training!

Education, progression, and fun are my driving forces.  Let’s see what they can do for you!

I am always taking new courses and certifications - to learn from the best and to help my clients achieve their goals in the safest, most efficient, and most fun way possible!
